Most families are happy for schools to use Trellis in meetings with them. But we’d like to share some learnings from our pilot around what helps people feel comfortable.

When we’ve spoken to young people about the Child’s Planning process, they’ve told us that they wanted to be involved as much as possible. The generated documents have a section for “Views of the learner” or similar - this article explains how to make sure that genuinely reflects their thoughts and feelings.

As the user of Trellis, you are responsible for making sure the finished Child’s Plan and meeting minutes are accurate and appropriate. There is no substitute for your expertise, and we want to encourage you to apply that to reviewing these documents.
